Hi there! Welcome to Cakify. This blog is a collection of recipes (mainly desserts) which I’ve simplified so they can be made at home with basic equipment and ingredients.
A little bit about myself: I was born and raised in Bangkok until I finished my Bachelor Degree. I spent some years in England to further my study, some years in Germany after I got married, and since 2011 I have been living in Sydney, Australia.
Having opportunities to live in and travel to several countries not only broadened my mind, but also my culinary experiences. Different food I have tried and international friends I have made have helped me develop my cooking/ baking skills in some ways.
My favorite cuisines are Thai, Italian and Japanese. In terms of desserts, some of my favorites are chocolate cake, coffee roll, Japanese baked cheesecake, E’clair, Creme Brulee, Panna Cotta, Crepe Suzette, Poffetjes, Belgian waffle, German Schmalzkuchen, Thai custard in pumpkin, Taiwanese shaved iced dessert, Bubble Tea, … Nothing healthy I’m afraid …
